GROUP MAT CLASSES
Beginner Mat:
This class starts at a slower pace to lay down a solid foundation for your understanding of the traditional Pilates exercises. You will gain core strength by focusing on alignment, deep postural muscles, mobility of the spine and breath.
Open Level Mat:
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to seasoned Pilates students. Modifications will be given throughout class to suit your needs.
Pilates with Props:
This challenging workout will use some of the many Pilates props including therabands, foam rollers and stability balls. Some Pilates experience is recommended.
Osteo-Pilates:
The class is open to everyone but will address the issues associated with osteoporosis, adhesive capsulitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and forward shoulder syndrome. By emphasizing weight-bearing exercises, this class helps to slow the progression of bone loss.
Pre-Natal Mat:
Exercising during your pregnancy can provide you with more energy, less physical discomfort, strength you need for labor and a quicker recovery. As your body goes through many changes, join us for a class that emphasizes core stabilization, pelvic floor strengthening, postural improvement and flexibility.
Postpartum Mat:
This Pilates-based exercise program is designed to help new mothers reconnect and gain strength in their abdominals and pelvic floor. Our postpartum classes will leave you encouraged, uplifted and invigorated. You are invited to share this experience with your pre-crawling baby.
GROUP APPARATUS CLASSES
Tower Class:
These popular classes are a unique and economical way to experience the
Pilates apparatus.
A "Wall Tower" fuses
traditional mat work and spring resistance. The Tower classes will show you basic exercises along with proper spring attachment and safety protocols. We encourage you to have some Pilates experience here at b a l a n c e but it is not necessary to take a Private apparatus session before trying these classes. Because space in these Tower classes is limited we ask that you sign-up in advance.
